The lead off hitter for Nanuet got on base with a single, he then advanced to 2nd on a passed ball. The runner was out, caught stealing, when Meyers threw down to third and Burke put the tag on the sliding runner. Spiegel then struck out the next two batters to end the inning. Nick Gorglione came on to pitch in the bottom of the third inning, recording the final out on just three pitches. Gorglione would pitch the 4th and 5th innings, giving up one run on a walk and back-to-back singles.
